A man is under a new federal investigation for ordering and then selling counterfeit drugs in India.
Reed was caught in India on a drug bust by the U. S. government last month after buying a pill from a seller at a drug store. The counterfeit drugs would have been fake if the seller had not paid for them.
Reed, who now lives in New York, was not arrested.
"He had been a drug dealer for many years," said the U. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida.
"He's a smart guy. A smart kid."

Reed, a 41-year-old resident of New York, was charged with 18 counts of possession of a controlled substance, four counts of conspiracy and five counts of money laundering.
The drug dealer, who lives in a small Brooklyn neighborhood, has received a letter telling him that he will go to jail if convicted.
Reed faces the maximum sentence for selling and possessing counterfeit drugs, according to U. Attorney Kenneth Magidson's office.
